  • Hey - How does a CU member find out about this program? I am a gold club member, but have never received any emails or other notification that this program even exsisted.....thanks for the heads-up, Al! (although I don't think I have any coins that would qualify) Also, I don't suppose the grading is FREEimage, but I don't see a price listed anywhere.....

hey Scott, Chuck and anyone else not familiar with this offer:

here's how it works. for each quarter in the calender year, PCGS offers a free grading of a specific coin, in this instance it's one from the description they gave in the link that Shamika provided. it's generally sent in the e-mail newsletter PCGS sends or it can be found in a thread at the start of each quarter, much like this one. the only cost is shipping charges like a standard submission and the coin should be on a seperate form with the words "Free Quarterly Submission" written across it.

there will, of course, be members who complain in some fashion about it, but it's a nice offer for four free gradings throughout the year with adequate time to find a coin if you don't already have one that qualifies.

i wonder if i have any 1938 Jeffersons laying around??!!!!!!!!??imageimageimage

I've been a Gold C.C. member for a year and a half now, and I finally took advantage of this offer. I have a 1909 Lincoln in for grading, logged in yesterday. It's a great deal and one I should make more of an effort to take PCGS up on in the future.
