I have always merely typed in the date/mint/any other information and it always seemed to work.

    Go to Advance Search.

And make sure you click on the "Completed" box.
  • From the eBay home page, click on advanced search. On the advanced search page, fill in the date you are seeking and other relevant information and be sure to check the completed items box.

The history is rather limited, in many cases to 15 days.

Here's one of my searches from eBay. I do the search on the U.S. Coins selection.

    pcgs 18* -gold -morgan

This particular search, searches for all coins dated in the 1800's that do not have the word "gold" or the word "morgan" in the title, but does have the word "PCGS" in the title.

  • Is there a way to have your search exclude certain ebay sellers? A lot of times my searches are polluted with multiple listings of crap coins from 2 or 3 sellers.

Actually, I found it out on my own. You go to "Advanced Search" then from there click "Refine Search" and in that you can choose to exclude up to 10 sellers. image
