Has this coin ever been included in the Jefferson registry with varieties? Have any of the 1964 SMS coins been in any registry variety sets?

    Before the sets were weighted, the 64 SMS was included in the Jefferson varieities set. I have inquired multiple times why it was excluded with no real good answer.

    it shouldn't be included in a set, nor should any of the issues designated as SMS from 1964. they were clandestine pieces at worst and presentation pieces at best, not a regular issue. why would you want it included in a set?? they would be ego coins.

    BTW, i saw a set at the ANA in Pittsburgh, the dealer next to TBT had it displayed and i didn't either bother to lok it over or inquire about the price. last year it was in Angel Dee's case. the coins are apparently priced too high or not wanted since they continue to be shopped.

    i liken them more as patterns myself. should a pattern be in a standard issue set?? i think not.
