Grading Question

What happens when you submit a coin in the regular service tier and
the coin grades at a level that brings your coin value well above the
$3,000 max value of that tier?

Thanks

First, you jump for joy! Then you hope it doesn't get lost in shipping on the way back. image

This actually happened to me. I submitted one that, based on my estimated grade, had a value of around $2500. PCGS graded it a point higher, making it worth about $6000. It was a good day at the grading trough.

I think what MichaelJ is asking is "Does an increase above $3,000 change the pricing structure of the original submission"?

That's happened twice to me, and PCGS didn't charge me more.
    When in doubt, don't.

I have never seen PCGS raise the fee for this kind of situation.
