Great transaction with Collector USA/Williams Gallery

I just wanted everyone to know about a good transaction that I had with a dealer (since everyone seems to bash dealers). I had a coin that I wanted to sell, and because of past dealings with Collector USA, I decided to sell to them again. They paid a fair price, and sent out the check that same day. An issue arose because I had them send the check to my office, and because there are over 1000 people in the building, the check got misrouted (i.e., it is still floating around in a black hole somewhere here). Anyway, I called Dale Williams at Collector USA and explained what happened. Without any questions asked, he simply cancelled/stopped payment on the check that he sent originally, and Fed Ex'd a replacement check (which I received the next day). All in all, it was a very pleasant experience and I just wanted to share it with the board.

Dale's great to do business with. I've not sold anything to him, but this doesn't surprise me based on my buying experiences. I've been very pleased with the coins he's sold me in the past, and I can't think of any higher praise to give than when I say that I would confidently buy raw coins on eBay from him.
  • I changed the focus of my collection earlier this year and sold Dale about 120 certified coins.
I sent a list to several national dealers and he was the strongest bidder.
Transaction was handled entirely by mail. No glitches - very professional.
He's definitely one of the good guys.image
