Does anyone here know much about the 1941 Double Play set? I was searching through the registry and eBay and stumbled upon it. Does PSA only grade the two player panels? How were they distributed? What is the SMR on a set in PSA 5? How difficult is it?
Basically, what do you know and want to share with someone who's interested?

'41 Double Plays wre issued by the same company as Play Balls -- Gum, Inc. (later Bowman). I do not know how they were distributed. The set is the same size as Play Balls and features 2 players on each card. The backs are blank. They were never intended to be cut in half and PSA will not grade cut cards. They are tough to find in any shape better than EXMT. Expect to pay a premium for most HOFers in PSA 5 or better.
