NGC Darkside multislab

These slabs are mainly intended for mint issued products, gold eagles, proof sets, etc. This is only a visually well matched set, despite the difference in grades, that was never issued as such, but I liked the idea and was curious about the result. image

The 9p is only a 61? Hairlines? Hits? Looks better in the image.

And yes, it is quite weel matched. image

Dimitri, is that yours? Did they do it for you or did you purchase it that way? Nice set. I agree, that 9o looks nicer than MS61 to me.

Don, one of your '37 Brit proof sets would look nice that way.

If they could fit that many coins in one holder, that is.

15 coins in one holder? I don't think it will happen. One of my South Africa Proof Sets on the other hand . . .

  • This 5 coin set looks already at the limit, judging from the non white rounds that circle the holes. The Canadian specimen sets seem like good candidates among others. Don, yes , I submitted this myself, it's not really worth it for this set from Cyprus, it was just for the sake of the -then- novelty. I had submitted the coins in Baltimore last year, lost the submission form and recovered the set this year. image

So what do you do if you want to resubmit the 9p for a higher grade? Crack the whole set out?
  • I guess it's a bad idea to resubmit. image

  • Those holders would look nice with a set of old Pillar coins. You could do the 8R - 1/2R.

Syraq, nice coins. I like the 63 proof set.image

I know there is one in every group and I really don't like be that one, but I just hate those multi-coin slabs. I really hate them with a passion!
