SGS - What is the worst coin you have seen in an SGS holder?

What is the worst coin you have seen in an SGS holder? I have noticed that they mostly sell MS/PR 68-70 in thier holders. Has anyone ever seen a really cleaned, dinged up dog of a coin in one of these holders?

  • That's kind of hard to answer - I've never purchased a coin in an SGS holder because the main seller of these coins - ABONCOM - almost always uses doctored photos on ebay so you never really know what you will get. As long as this seller continues to doctor his photos, he will never get my business (even as a purely test-case type buy).

SGS is a joke. I live 1.5 hours from the seller who dumps these coins in these slabs on the market. One of these days I'm going to have time to go to their hideout and confront him. I think he makes $ and keeps + feedbacks by refunding $ to anyone who questions him. I also question his feedback. Anyone else like to chime in here? If it walks like a duck, looks like a duck and smells like a duck...........

It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!
