2004 TRISTAR HIDDEN TREASURES SR 2 AUTOGRAPHED BASEBALLS

When at the local card shop today I saw these for the first time.. Almost bought one but thought I would do some research on the product first..

Could someone direct me to a 'checklist' of the signed balls. Has the Ruth been pulled yet?

I see the packages on ebay but I'm afraid to win one.. I think it may be easy to re-seal these bags?

The srp is 240$. but you will find these in range of 165-190$ on ebay. hit or miss product. but the 1927 auto ws ball of yanks would be a nice treasure to have.
  • I remember my great Fleer Legacy Superstar Basketball Jersey I pulled. Back then they also said "only the top NBA Stars"

Busted my box and what did I see? The greatest Basketball player of all time Tom Gugliotta.

What a bust for that box.

Now on the other hand Legacy Baseball with the caps ended up being a pretty big hit for me.

    3 boxes

Hats of Mattingly, Juan Gonzalez, and Barry Bonds.

Griffey Hot Gloves redemption insert, Ichiro and Pujols Rcs. Musial GU, Helton Base/Ball /50 and a few other smaller gu pulls.

I don't think there's anything wrong with this concept. I wouldn't mind increasing my auto collection with some balls. But the price is way out there and the problem there is the serious auto'd balls. Unless they are all exceedingly poor quality, or they got some terrific deals, prices on acquiring them was surely very significant. Cut sigs can be had for pennies on the dollar versus balls in many cases, and the value there is in making a card out of it. Since these collectibles are "pret-a-porter" Fleer probably had to pay close to retail themselves and this has to be carried over to the SRP. A $20-30 pack with maybe one Ruth "grail" ball and the usual suspects signing would be more like it. A 50-player checklist with the best you could pull being Musial or Mays, and the worst you could pull being a current regional star or rookie, that wouldn't be too bad.
