Advice needed pertaining to the USPS Shipper's Assistant

I could think of no better way to ask so many people at once, but if anyone can answer a few simple questions for me regarding this via PM or my email address which is available to all in my profile, I sure would appreciate it.
Let me just say that I do have it downloaded to some degree connected to my Paypal account but the problem is, suppose someone pays me thru Paypal for an non eBay item, or pays by money order, then this is of no value to me, I guess. I DO have it downloaded seperately, away from Paypal but I am unable to get it to work. I do have an hp psc 2175 all in one but I must have missed a step during setup as I cannot print labels independetly from an eBay/ Paypal transaction, in which case it works fine.
