I've always though a low start w/no reserve always generated more interest & views, which = more bids which = more $$$.
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.

Depends on the item.
For an item like this, or a 1999-S silver proof set, for example, I agree.
For items that may not have a wide following or many folks collecting them, starting at one cent can be a way to lose your butt.

Opens at $300, closes at $300.

Don't know how it affects price (probably not enough to near justify the full difference) but your pictures are much better than that guy's... I've made money simply reshooting a coin and putting it back up, so pictures do count.
