    That would depend on how deep your team is at the positions involved and on what stats are counted by your league.

    It works like this:

    When you trade Maggette for Sprewell (assuming both would start on your fantasy team), you affect two other players as well on your roster - someone else becomes a starting forward, and some other guard goes to the bench. If your replacement forward is significantly better than the guard Sprewell is replacing, this becomes a better trade for you.

    Also, not all leagues award points in the same way. A league that focuses more on scoring tends to value Sprewell higher, while a league that takes shooting percentage, blocks, etc. into account helps Maggette's value.
