    i would need to see the coin in person sight seen to be sure

    but usually coins with this kind of color if they are totally original unmessed with coins are long term envelope stored toning

    this coin there is just something i do not like about it so it could be AT you see many copper pre 1857 coins like this with this type of color that are AT all the time a common thing that has been done for years and years

    this coin i would need to see in person but the uneven splotchy uneven color and thickness of the toning in places is totally uneven and just the overall look of the reverse seems to be a semi professional color toning AT job to me just the way the color only sticks around the lettering and devices of the coin and the way the rims look how the toning sits on top of the coin it looks like it was added and done quickly in a short period of time


    and the blue color is off on this coin to what is usually seen as blue envelope type toning and usually coins put in envelopes like this for decades where indian cent proofs or ms large cents with great lustre
