This is NOT Chinese.
The piece is stapled to a card which was stored in an envelope. It's from an old dealer accumulation.
Anyone else like to comment? Attribution? Value?

"Tempoh" is a period on the Japanese calendar, not Chinese. It looks like mameita gin (so-called "bean money"). Can you show a scan of the reverse so I can see which era it's from?

Is there anything on the back? There should be a character dating the period in which it was struck.
