Stewart, is this one of your orginial 1919 1C MS68RD's

Link

I remeber reading that you said that you said that you made 12 of the 14 of the MS68RD's (or was it 13). Is this the one that you did not make that you didn't think should be in a MS68RD holder?

  • SOG,

I saw that coin as well and had the same thought. It just doesn't have that snap crackle and pop of a 68.

  • I think Stewart once said that another coin was made in 68, and he believed it was not on par with any of his 68's. To me this seems like it was NOT one of stewarts, and looks like a nice 66RD due to the color to me.

Actually this coin does look like one of mine but the photography is so bad.......Heritage needs to pay BIG BUCKS and get Shylock

  • Heritage photography is crap. At least I hope it's the photography. If it isn't, that coin has turned from red to red-brown in the holder and will probably continue to darken to a full brown and then the grade on the slab will be meaningless.
