Has anyone had cards grade bumped under review process

I wanted to find out if any collector has had a card be bumped up a grade when they have re-submitted a card under the review process in the actual card holder without cracking it out of it holder. If anyone has had any experience having a card reviewed by PSA please post
your experiences. I wanted to submit a card for review in the actual holder and just wanted to find out what is the likelihood of it being
upgraded.

I felt (and so did several others here) about 6-10 months ago that grading standards on vintage had gotten extraordinarily tough compared to earlier experiences. I shared that with Joe--using some pretty good statistical evidence from my bulk submissions over the course of a year-- and after submitting about 20 cards, I believe 6 or 7 were upgraded. My last batch? Only 1 of about 10. It can happen, but your odds are not terrific.
  • How does a review work?

For example, I have a card that was graded PSA 6 that I believe should be a PSA 7. I would like to submit the card for review and request that PSA does one of the following: (1) upgrade the card to PSA 7 or (2) leave the card in the PSA holder (i.e. leave it as a PSA 6 as compared to the ugly possibility of having the card downgraded). Is this what PSA would do with the card?

Anyone have any experiences to share?

i have had some 55 parkhurst hockey get bumped up a grade. you have to send them in under the review service. i see the review box but i don't see a price? i think its 5.00? mail them in and i believe they go to joe's desk he reviews them and either bumps or stay's the same? it doesn't take long aabout 5 days or so.

I assume you have to have to have a PSA membership to send in cards to be reviewed, yes?

When Bill Goodwin purchased the first PSA 9 MINT 1971 Topps Pete Rose card a few years ago for $15,000 (reportedly), it was subsequently bumped to a PSA 10 GEM MINT grade. Although I know nothing about how that actually happened - nor do I probably want to know.
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

I have a few cards that I believe would have an outside chance at an upgrade by review. I have seriously considered possibly sending them to global for a crossover with putting a minimum upgrade a step higher than what I have. Am I wrong in thinking that it would have a better shot with Global? I know the 1/2 point grade has been hashed over and over on these forums but I am really starting to think of crossing some cards to global as I am sure they would get a better grade.

I have been away from the hobby for about four months and Whamo! The Boston Shriners show puts me right back in and about a grand lighter in my pockets. Anyways have any of you crossed over cards to Global lately and got a better grade?
  • many times. send them direct to joe orlando with a detailed letter.
