merc experts -- 1917(P) RPD?

I picked up a really nice raw AU58 1917 merc at the Manchester, NH show. Very pretty coin w/ minimal rub & lovely album toning running in a bullseye from plum to orange to sea green, light on the obverse and heavy & dramatic on the reverse. I was here admiring it through a loupe and realized the entire date is clearly doubled. As nothing else on the obv seems to be, I'm assuming this is an RPD and not actual doubling. I tried to scan it to post here, but in the head-on scanner shot it doesn't show up even though it is quite bold when you see it in hand.

My question is, do people pay any kind of a premium for this sort of thing? I like the coin quite a lot, but I'd consider flipping it if it meant I could buy more coins...

Thanks for your responses --

My guess is machine or ejection doubling which is quite common with the Mercs at the date. I only know of one person that collects these and he will not pay extra for a example.

If you like the coin you probably should keep it.
