I like both of them- I think I prefer the 87-O because it looks like it has a little more of a frosted look.....

Bill, Most of the unc. Morgans that I have are common dates. I'm only about 45% into the D/MM set with no key dates. Thanks for the comments.

L.B.O.E., no I haven't purchased an unc. morgan since spring of this year. Prices just keep climbing, so I backed away for a while. Still looking though. Good luck on your set.

They both look like solid 64s. One interesting thing is the 89-O appears to have a better than average strike for that date. The 89-O is one of the most weakly struck coins in the series. Definitely a keeper.

Thanks Eric. My photography doesn't do these coins justice. I was experimenting with some halogen lighting when taking these.

Here is my 89-O. It's a PCGS MS64. It's very clean for a 64, but the typical strike kept it at 64:

They would feel very well at home with my start of the MS64 Morgans that I have.
