Got mine in this time, but you need to get it done earlier in the week. I'm not usually checking the boards on weekends.

In the past 4 years, they've won 2 out of 20 on the road when on grass. Don't get me wrong - they are better than Houston, but don't be suprised if Houston wins.

  • Well they won on grass, you people really didn't think the Vikes were gonna let the lowly Texans beat them did you? Yeah they barely won but a wins a win!image

7 out of 12 so far. I've seen worse. Why didn't anyone else give Detroit any love? image

  • And cornholio, your picks this week weren't that great either. But there were definately some surprises, who would have thought that Detroit would beat Atlanta(glad they did though), or Tampa beating New Orleans. Weird week!

You picking the Texans over the Viking's though was just a bad pick!

At 6-6 my picks are looking crappy. I didn't see the game but it looked like the Texans played well at the end. In the past, the Texans have gone for two at the end of games to either win or lose on that play - I thought they would have. If they did, they had a much better shot of winning.

The Falcons have historically played poorly when heavily favored. It doesn't make sense, but it held true again today. This team has scored a combined 16 points against the Cardinals and Lions while scoring 61 against the Rams and Panthers (in Carolina!).

Since you are a Vikings fan, why were you happy to see the Lions win? As a Falcons fan, I'm constantly cheering for whoever is playing the Panthers, Bucs and Saints.

    Brian
  • Well another Choke by our D. No improvment over last year, and Ted Cotrell called a great 1st half and terrible 2nd. Sad, all they need is a decent Secondary... No picks this year, Chavous and Russel had 16 last year/ WTF!

  • Ahh, What a good question, why was I happy to see Detroit beat Atlanta? Every real Viking's fan hates the Falcons for beating us in the championship game in 1998 and going on to the superbowl. That was our year, Gary Anderson missed the field goal that would have sent us to the big one, and our present kicker Morten Anderson, who then was the Falcons kicker went and kicked the game winning field goal to send the falcons to the Super bowl where they proceded to embarrass themselves by getting slaughtered by the Bronco's. Viking's would have owned that game. I'm gonna say that it would have been the most exciting Superbowl in NFL history. Moss's rookie year and Elways final year. The only time I ever want the Falcons to win is when they play the Buc's. Have nothin' against the Lion's, I know it's just a matter of time before they start losing anyway.

  • Hmm., well thats awkward, I just went back and reread your post and learned that your a Falcons fan, missed that the first time around. I didn't need to explain that game to you, you already knew everything about it.image
