You should post this in the metal detecting forum as well. Some of them may want to go if it isn't too far from them.

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

As much as those folks have been through in Florida, hopefully maybe a few of the harder hit folks will find some of these. image

Oh, is that what those were. I thought that they were chocolate coins and threw them back.

Who wants to bet that the estimated worth of $20,000 apiece is highly exagerated?

They couldn't be the 1943 COPPER doubloons, could they?

They appeared to be Spanish Cobs. The news reported they were from the 1715 treasure fleet. A person was shown holding two handfulls of them and the coins looked like they were in really nice condition in the closeups. No detector required...just bend down and scoop em up.
