  • Yes, its the 1920 Maine 50¢. I actually have picked up two of them in the last 18 months this one rotated 95° and a second one rotated 115° both rotated ccw.

I was also the underbidder on this clipped York at Heritage. There's also a clipped Isabella quarter in ANACS AU58 that shows up on eBay about once a year.

If I ever get around to writing up my NH Coin Expo show report, you'll hear about another clip collector I met there. He brought his album of "specials" for show & crow, it included a full page of clipped classic commems, inclidung the following: Maine, Lincoln, Cincinnati, several BTW and GWC, and a couple of others I can't remember. He also showed me a certified 1988 Olympic half with a rim clip.

Incomplete planchets wanted, especially Lincoln Cents & type coins.

Neat examples RotatedRainbows & Sean, errors seem to be rare on commems. Heritage also had a minor struck thru on a Wisconsin listed last year.
  • Somebody had listed a photo of a commemerative with lint marks from when they struck it.
I think it was fairly recent too.
