Nice CHOKE Yankees!

Rookie pitcher owned you all night! That was more defense than the Vikings, Jets and Giants combined! I
wonder if those 500 dollar tickets to game 1 at NY were worth it?

choke!

Address my question: Where are your Phillies and Trampled Bay? You gotta be in it to win it.

Arod looked pretty in that dress! How come Posada wasn't wearing heels?

  • Since 1996 the Yankees have lost 8 out of 11 game ones. I wouldn't sweat this one too much, but of course they need tomorrow's game.

The Yankees have won 4 World Series and 6 pennants during the last 8 years.

    Mr Santana:

"Arod, get over here, you are next"

    Arod

"yes Sir Mr Santana, can Jeter watch?"

  • I don't even care about baseball, but I think most everybody is sick to death of the Yankees, so good for the Twins. Yankee's have been buying the World Series for many years now.image
Culpepper to ?, only God knows at this point!

actually the Yankees have been buying overpaid athletes and then going on to get spanked by teams 1/20th
    their payroll like the Marlins

Rookie? Santana hasn't been a rookie since 2000.

He's on fire this year and I doubt any team would have had much luck against him. He should win the Cy Young.

Well, to lighten the mood a little. I have a story. image

Several months back, late May/early June IIRC, the Twins had their annual "Autograph Party". Strangely enough, Joe Mauer and Johan were at the same booth. Normally, they put a complete scrub and a superstar together so this was a bit odd as Santana was doing pretty well to that point. I had Mauer sign a fresh ball and he signed it on the sweet spot. Santana was next and I actually debated whether ot not I wanted to have him sign it... Of course, 80% of the people were walking right past him after getting Mauer, especially on the sweet spot so I, in my capacity for infinite compassion, allow him to sign my ball. image I didn't let anyone else sign it after that. Let's just say, I'm pretty happy I didn't pass him up, in fact, I wish he had signed the sweet spot and mauer had signed a different ball. image

Oh and to put the superstar/scrub pairing in perspective. Later in the day, the next auto I got was at the booth holding Rod Carew and....Ron Coomer. No, Coomer did not sign my Carew ball. I guess my compassion isn't THAT infinite.

Ok, back to bashing the Yankees.

Yes, the Yankees choked in game 1. This was suppose to be a Yankee win.

Wait! They won the second game!!!!
