Look!! Neice got 1890 Liberty from Coke Machine

Hey,

My neice got this out of a coke machine in change slot, on the reverse, where it says CENTS, on the bottom of the "N" of Cents, looks like a "D" Mintmark? Didn't think they put mint marks on them there and when they did, it was in the left of CENTS by the period, is it possible?

Not in 1890 they didnt..

Lib nicks only had mintmarks in 1912...D&S I think


Edited to add: Still a cool find though!!

Very cool find!! But the D is not possible, they didn't mint them in Denver until 1912. It looks like a hit on the coin or toning to me.......
