Bought my worst PSA graded card ever and it is in a PSA 10 holder

The back botton of the holder, that fine edge half is missing. The card inside of the holder has 3 damaged areas from the holder. THe edge that keeps that card in place has dammaged the card. And the reason it was damaged in the holder is from sliding around ....yes it is trimmed and or to short all the way around. that is what is causing the sliding. I own about 50 of these cards it is shorter and more narrow then all of them. And you thought it couldnt get worse it is labled "STEEL" the card is actualy "STEELE" version I bought it because I need the "steel" version in PSA 10 form. (excuse me in advance if this is confusing I have a hard time expressing my thoughts into text)
I would post a scan but my scanner will show the card slightly blurry and all would be lost. Should I send it back to PSA to repurchase it? Or send it back to the seller?

Dear PSA customer,
In situations like this, where you feel there was a clear mistake made by PSA, you are always welcome to send the card back in for free review. Upon review, if PSA feels that a mistake was made - we will resolve the issue for you. This is the way we have always handled things and we pride ourselves on being fair - that is part of why we are who we are today.
In the end, instead of coming on OUR boards and making a huge fuss, I think it would be best to contact someone at our company - we woud be happy to help. Message board complaints generally do not assist in the resolution process.
Take care,
Joe Orlando
PSA President
CEO, Collectors Universe, Inc.
I was asking advice do I send it to PSA or return it to the seller . Stick PSA up your A$ $
Your repsonse wasnt needed and neither was mine
Your Customer
I will pursue my set and this issue and wont be back at the boards after this matter is closed. And send the trimmed card back. After I purchase a better scanner. SO I have proof for my records.
The freaking president of the company takes time to address your concern the day you put it forth. I think you may be a little out of line saying what you did. Enjoy this thread for the 5 minutes it lasts.

also i would think the seller should be the one that returns it to psa, unless of course these problems were listed prior to sale. this sounds more then just a minor disagreement due to subjectivity.

Good luck in the hospital... I hope you're typing speeds up tenfold for you.
Long story short I have called over other issues and have been blown off. I have even caled Joe and was passed along.

DONE with this thread
the first paragraph of joes response was fine, professional and to the point, and he should have stopped there.
by emphasizing (shouting) OUR in the second paragraph, it comes across (to me at least, and boggs evidently) as a little arrogant.
if he had changed OUR to psa's or the message boards, i think it would have taken the sting out of the reply.
<p>
It might have been the second paragraph was written because something touched a nerve somewhere at hq.
but it could have been left out and conveyed a nicer point

just mho

Let's see--mislableled, trimmed, damaged by PSA holder---sounds like a slam to me.
The President responds personally saying he will correct the problem, and you complain louder. At least you gave me a chuckle tonight.
Hey, I just thought of a fun idea.
I'll see if I can irritate the Prez enough to get him to kick me off the CU forums.
Then the other disgruntled folks will look upon me as a hero. Heck, some will even consider me a martyr.
Nah ... think I'll just go to bed instead ...
"How about a little fire Scarecrow ?"
of frustration . Issues like this should be emailed to PSA and not on the boards. I admit the mistake I made, however I still stand behind my cards not being trimmed, they were all from vending years ago. I am still actively pursuing the set , despite my setback.
I am sure Joe will take care of your issue.

I called PSA customer service, sent it in as instructed, and was contacted by Ivan Lopez from PSA. He agreed that the card had been mishandled along the way, that it truly wasn't PSA's fault and all that he could do was offer me some free gradings instead of a cash buyback. He went above and beyond the call of duty to handle the situation in a positive way for both myself and PSA.
The moral of the story is that it was all handled "above board", without ANYBODY getting slammed or accused of anything. It turned out to be a simple problem with a simple solution that made both parties happy. The PSA staff is there for a reason...They are a resource and should be contacted ASAP when there is a problem so that a solution can be worked out. Thank you PSA (especially Ivan).
Steve, (a happy PSA customer).
In the future, take a deep breath, when you get the urge to come on the boards and cry about a worthless 84 DK, please dont.
The first thing all of the sensible board members will ask is: HAVE YOU CONTACTED PSA???
Imagine how frustrating it must be for Joe O, to the point he has to come on the boards and publicly call out this whiner.
Bravo Joe.
Stop looking for a collective group hug. Deal with the issue with PSA.

Groucho Marx
Stop talking about his typing!!
huh?
1) His original post asked for advice
2) His second post stated that he'd e-mailed PSA
*AFTER* he said he'd e-mailed PSA, Joe came on here and rudely told him he should contact PSA. Uh, he'd already done that? I can see why Boggs got irritated. But his words and tone, I definitely don't agree with those.

Actually no I am not the spelling police, someone was picking on ole Boggsy's spelling by writing "(his) English skills made (him) hard to decipher", and then he responded about his handicap, and how long it took the poor guy to type. I was just showing the board the "irony" (link...lol) of how even people who are not "physically" handicapped, make mistakes on typing. Then to further the point you wrote back "huh" because you didnt realize you had spelled it wrong. I was just trying to prove a point, and thought it would be amusing to include the link. And as far as sticking that link up my... why dont you trying shoving you head up there...see if it fits....
