Bought my first MS68 State Quarter

What a bummer. I am doing the run in MS66, but the Iowa D was so cheap I couldn't pass it up. Maybe the fact the pop is only 7 in MS66 is why I never see it offered (whereas in MS68 it is 292).
This is going to mess up my over all GPA.

Although I have not devoted any time in collecting MS 68 satehood quarters, I applaud anyone who does !
I'm collecting "first finds" ( out of circulation ) on the US mint's large map. I have all of them from circulation and its a nice set. Nothing as high as MS 68, but I don't care. I also have every MS & PR set of statehood quarters from the mint. I also buy first issue coins from my local coin dealer, raw, for a grandson. "His" collection will be as nice as any set found in raw state. He's only only four and likes anything I give him. I hope he'll appreciate my collection and save a few things I leave him ( when th time comes ) and he'll get a set I wish I had inherited !

Or, you could make your own. I suspect most of these are done through bulk submissions with a minimum grade of MS 67 so very little pops below that. Of course, there are lots of MS 66 coins out there ready to be submitted.

PS: Yes, I got your dry humor and responded in kind.

It would cost more to try and make my own than I paid for this one.
I have about 5 submitted right now. I am dreaming of a 69 on one of them. Should I have messed up badly and get a 66, I'll let you know!
