Anybody from Washington state

I was wondering this and also wondering if anybody had any volcanoic ash from Mt saint Helens. My gem and mineral socitey is having our yearly show. I was going to do a display about the gold and silver copper and other metals used in coins in the past and present. But owing to the volcano if I can put together a nice display about the volcano with rocks ash and what ever I can drag or dig up on Mt St Helens, the silver and gold with accompaning coins is being put off till next year so I can better set up the display.

Can anybody give me a hand if your willing to give or loan the show is the weekend of 15,16 and 17 i know this is short knotice. But the stuipd volcano is just now doing its thing.

  • Head down to Longview/Kelso.

There is a grip of ash left there.

  • Hehe, sorry.

Longview and Kelso are small towns near Portland OR.

The river that seperates the two towns had to be dredged of all the ash.

There are banks on the river where Ash is still piled high, almost like sand dunes.

    I used to live there.

I would offer to pick you up some ash, but it is almost 140 miles away.
