Thanks to Brandon Kelley of Pinnacle :)

For sending me this nifty 1886 Morgan - she's got nice original skin and is not too worse for wear. This was actually my prize for guessing where hurricaine Ivan was going to make landfall - I guess maybe I should send it to Dog97 since he bore the brunt of the storm - but it doesn't have weird toning so he probably wouldn't like it image. The dollar is in an old NGC "fatty" What grade do you think she is???

Whew, when I saw who started this thread I was afraid it was going to include a "Rosie" or (edited to) another type of modern coin that should be flushed down the toilet.imageimage

Nice Morgan, Frank. I am not sure if it quite deserves a "You Suck"...how about "You stink"? image

    I'd say 63.
  • Both of you who guessed is right - a 63 in an old fatty holder - Thanks again Brandon!

Frank: The 1886 toned Morgan is a beauty!! image

The toning appears to be brown & blue-green (sea green) from the photo -- very sweet!! That's my kind of toning. Nice even coloration on both sides of the coin...

  • Thanks Stuart - but that's actually the lighting - I didn't put too much thought into imaging the coin and it just came out that wan - most of the toning on this coin is brown and gold and around the periphery - sorry image
  • I would also like to take a moment to thank him for the PCGS graded 1887-O he sent to me.
