Can't you simply click on his ID history or does that not work if you set up a new account.

You can do an ID history on the user and see the name for yourself. What is the bidders current ID?

ya, if the old i.d. was an email addy then ebay blocks out the first part of it. something to do with the privacy policy.

I've only got 10 or 12 people blocked,so I'm real curious as to which one he is.

If you have set your preferences on ebay to block certain bidders, that may account for the situation. On the "my ebay" page under "ebay preferences" you can set your preferences to block bidders with more than one NPB strike, non-domestic bidders, or bidders with less than O rating.
