SmittysSmittys Posts: 9,876 ✭✭✭✭✭
Was wondering people opinion on the value of this large cent, the lines are rasied but have been detirined to be cuts, was wondering anyone knowing Large cents could tell what it's value would be.
The coin is lighter than it appears in scan.
Thanks,
Smitty

Maybe $80-100? just a ballpark figure, but I doubt it's worth MUCH more or less..

? If they're raised off the surface of the coin i would think they would be from "cuts" or file marks on the die. Maybe from a cancelled die that got used by mistake ?

  • That's the one discussed in this thread..

I would sell that to a retail customer for $50.....maybe $45.

I would think the $40 to $50 range would probably be about right.
  • Nice details. I wouldn't put it in my album, but wouldn't mind having it as a nice example in my binder.
