Grade guarantee

I know PCGS guarantees grades and offers full or partial refunds between the graded value, and the new, lower value of a coin, but what happens if I have an ugly looking coin that was graded by PCGS that can be 'fixed'?? I have one now that developed milk spots (I assume after grading) that I want to keep but not in the ugly state that it is in. If I sent it back, would you be able to crack it out, dip it, then reslab it using the same tag?? I don't see why I should have to crack it out myself and clean it up, pay for regrading, and take the risk of it coming back as a lower grade.

    If the "ugliness" of the coin effects the grade, we'll take a look and try to fix it. Call customer service for details.
