A question for all-economy vs regular service

My question is, do you think there is a difference in the grade result when you send in coins for a regrade via economy vs a regular submission? Do you think grading is more generous for one over the other? I have 10 coins to send in for regrades, and they are great coins which have a shot at upgrade; there is a noticeable price difference on 10 coins when submitted in these 2 service levels, so does it make a diff?

  • I want to say NO there is no difference of grading when you submit the coins.

There shouldn't be--the only difference is the higher tiers (at least when you get to 7-day and less turnaround) more graders (as far as I know) look at the coin, so the grade should be more pin-pointed. Then again, most graders usually agree, so that's not always even needed.

I don't think it makes a bit of difference. If a grading service had two or three grading standards for the various service levels they have it would be obvious in the aftermarket and the rep of that service would suffer.

No, and the explanation is basically what Airplanenut said.
