International Money Orders

What's the best type of international money order so my seller has no problems? Where' the best place to buy it? I seem to remember there is more than one type and some of them can cause problems when the sellers try to cash them outside the US.

USPS pink ( International) money orders always looked OK for me. Don't send the green ones, they are for domestic only. I usually go to my bank and get a bank draft in the foreign currency when I buy something from the UK and they won't take PayPal.

I've never had problems (on either end) with Western Union Auction Payments. They send a WU money order.

  • Western Union and Postal money orders are both good choices, however I personally use postal money orders because my post office is in walking distance. By the way, the Australia post uses the Western Union system for it's money orders.
