Modern pocket change----please grade

I found these 2 nickles in change earlier this week. The 2001D has the best strike that I have seen in a modern.

The 2001-D is MS60 Non-FS at best, maybe even AU58. The 2004 is MS Blurred.

10c. All you need is a couple quarters and you could buy a Coke.

I can somewhat see why people get a little excited when they get a decent coin in change after seeing a Bank Wrapped Roll of nickles my wife brought home last night. Her nickles were just hammered. I told her to spend them.

Um where is it that you can't see FS on the 2001?

  • The pictures are too blurry to be able to grade accurately, IMHO.
  • Ok, I was finally able to get a good shot of the rev of the 2001D

  • The closeups are blurry. This may be caused by your holding the camera. For supermacro shots, don't touch the camera
and instead use the remote to activate the shutter -- huge improvement in focus.

I'm no photo genius, so with zero skills you should be able to get a photo at least this clear with digital supermacro:

Aren't the state quarters circulating at about 20 cents apiece now?
