  • Why do you thiink they graded the 20-P in 64RD. It seems rather harsh for that coin.

  • Brian,

I have a bunch (the majority of an original roll) that grade 64RD, that are simply awesome coins. It's funny because if you look at a rare S mint Lincoln such as 21-S or 23-S in 64RD there is no comparison. They are just totally different beasts. If I had a 21-S or 23-S Lincoln that looked anything like the 20-P's I have in 64 holders they would be worth $75,000.

I always thought they were tougher on S's because of the huge price difference if they ever overgraded one. The S's are usually 64 due to subdued luster, or spotting, or strike. The P's if ms64 it's because of tiny ticks, so sometimes they do look a lot nicer. I admit though that 1920 though really looks like it should be ms65.
  • I thought the 1920-P would go 65RD. It is so much nicer than ANY of my early 64's and better than a lot of my early 65's. I seriously considered resubmitting, but figured I'd just risk another $30 grading fee.

Whoever gets this one will not be disappointed!!
