HELP!!! Slipping...into.....the.....dark...**poof**
coppercoins

I'm finding myself falling off into the abyss known here as the "dark side." I went to the coin store a few days ago to find that my dealer and friend of nearly ten years bought a large estate of (gulp) Canadian coins. Included were a number of nice coppers, and I instantly fell in love. They were so nice and so dirt cheap, I had to buy some. I spent a total of $16 on over a dozen late large and early small cents....and I think I'm gonna collect a date set of them.
Having said that, my specialty is still Lincoln cents and will remain Lincoln cents....but these Northern coins are so cool looking!
One of my purchases (for a BUCK!!):

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.
Embrace the dark side!!!
a GREAT and CHEAP series - congrats on stumbling across my dirty little secret!

cheap but you won't find them for a few dollars. Even VF's are tough for dates like 1870.
<< <i>Wow! Those early British pennys are tough in high grade like that. They may be cheap but you won't find them for a few dollars. Even VF's are tough for dates like 1870. >>
Well, cheap compared to the US anyway .... and, 3 years ago they were a whole lot cheaper.....get 'em while you can.
Coppercoins, see the bosox threads for some monster Canadian cents.

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
Your timing for your "coming out" party was impeccable! The normal stormin' you'd get isn't likely since they've all worn themselves out on Anaconda, et al.
Welcome ... to the Dark Side!!!
Come on over ... to The Dark Side!
While I'm on the subject, anybody have any use for an entire bank bag of BU 1967 British large pennies? I know where 7 bags are.
