A fact you ought to know about the Morgan which seems to be of some interest of late.

Bryan, TBT, the seller of the Morgan, has offered to buy the Morgan back from me, at 100% of what I paid him for it. I have not agreed to sell it to him as of this time. I like the coin.

In a few minutes I have to go to the office, I'll be back later. I tell you this only because yesterday when I didn't rapidly respond to this thread when it was less than 24 hours old and when I was unaware of it, my "silence was deafening" or something like that. It's a good thing you can't shoot someone over the internet or my children would be orphans by now.

If he offered to take you out of that coin with a 100% refund, I would take him up on it.............just my opinion.

  • Anaconda, thank you for being a good sport about this whole thing. I wish you the best in the future, and will be sure to check out your auctions in the future.

BTW, I'd also take the refund if I were you. image

  • What was your reason in creating this thread?
  • To let everone know that TBT has done what most should consider to be "the right thing."
  • or what some would consider to be the right thing.

So this makes everything right, is that the point? Forget an AT coin was purchased for $150 and an attempt was made to pass it off on some poor eBay schmuck for $7500.

I don't get it either. You're thinking about getting $150 refund for a coin you thought would sell for thousands? image

Barry, it says in the other thread that TBT's refund was for $3,000.00, not $150.00.

I guess I won't be getting that coin afterall. image

  • He didn't say he was thinking about selling it back to him. He said "I have not agreed to sell it to him as of this time. I like the coin."

Please try to enter into a conversation without a preconceived notion. All you accomplish is you immediately set a negative tone to the thread and force any response to appear defensive. It's getting old.

  • How does someone have the balls to ask $3K for a $150 coin (and overpriced at that price)? And how is someone so proud as to not take his $3K back when givin the chance?
  • Get back the $3k and then offer him $300. I'd take a 100% ROI for quick flip any day of the week! image

Personally, and I don't mean to be a wiseguy or insult anyone, but I'd rather have that nice Capital holder then that coin.

My feelings. It is your coin, do with it as you please. If $7500 is what you say it would take to get it from you and someone is willing to pay that. More power to ya. Free Enterprise is a wonderful thing. Freedom of speech is often abused but still a wonderful thing also. A "reasonable price" has two interpretations one applies to the seller and the other to the buyer. Anyone else's definition of "reasonable price" is completely moot since they are not parties involved in the transaction.

It's truly funny, no make that truly sad, that people in this day and age are so wrapped up in their own little world that they refuse to try and teach someone else the correct or accepted way of doing things.
  • Catfish, you have zero business making any comment about Ebay auctions or their propriety. Go back to bidding on Poe58's wonderful gems.

  • Anaconda- if you're in the habit of buying common date day-glo morgans for $3,000, then perhaps I should get your mailing address. I'm sure I could locate a couple of them, and send them your way.....

Not so fast my friend.......according to the Visa Check Card commercial:

    $100 X 100% = $100

    $200 X 100% = $200

I would call Catfish & Poe "Dumb and Dumber" but, I can't think of anyone that would be "Dumbest" so I guess they are just "Tweedledumber and tweedledumbest"

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

  • I would take it, too. I applaud TBT for taking the initiative in this. I don't think many dealers would come forward with such an offer without being pressed to do so.
