Is anyone here making an attempt to grab up everything from a particular pedigree?

Anyone obsessed with getting all of Eliasberg's collection? Or any others? That would be an interesting (and pricey) way to collect!

    It's been discussed previously that many great pedigreed coins have been cracked out, dipped and stripped, and reslabbed without the pedigree, so it wouldn't even be possible to recreate one of those superlative collections.

    On the other hand, there is a member here (kieferscoins) who is trying to buy up all the slabbed coins pedigreed to someone named Sample.

    New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

    Here's an Eliasberg coin that won't get cracked out any time soon, and certainly not by me, even though I think it could probably go MS-63 by today's market grading standards if it were:
