The truth about Joe Stalin

Well I know it's an oxymororn to say Joe Stalin and the truth in one sentence BUT here goes:

How many times have you read Kevin saying that "he has backed the Bucs since day one" and the over used "you are a bandwaggon jumper"

Well it turns out that our minister of falseness has some explaining to do, see he joined on April 2001 and did not post a single thing about the bucs until August 2002 - the year they won the superbowl. That's right Kevin was under his bed all those years they were choking and did not post anything "supporting his team while they lost"

You want proof:

Kevin lies yet again

Comments

  • So he saw they had a great team that year, and bragged about it. They won the SB, this is a bad thing for him?

Anyway why dwell on the past, the Bucs are Horrible this year so lets give em shi& about that, sound good?
    Am I speaking Chinese?

  • I thank "Noclass" for supplying links to yesteryear that I would never have known about which are very telling indeed....I mean that thesis thing alone would be the cause for banishment in any medieval culture.

I agreee with DaBeef that we can all take glory in the woes of this current hapless Bucs team....however, I don't think it is fair to characterize this Kevin backlash as "piling on" to quote a football term, for all these harrassing, annoying posts I have seen in just a few months, yet alone what some of you have had to endure for years.

"Minister of Falsehood"...now that is funny image

  • You mean he wasn't there during the gay orange pirate logo days?

    Astonishing.

Actually I joined after the 01 season, which by the way we did very well in, there would of been no
shame in backing a team who just a few years back almost beat the 99 Rams with a rookie QB! I have
been a fan since 79, and Ill admit I was a bandwagon jumper then! I wanted to root for the team that
was winning and I saw that the Bucs had just beat the Eagles in the playoffs and started rooting for
that team! I was there the next year when we backed into the playoffs and had to play the great
Cowboys in the first round, I was there in 83 and through all the 2-14, 4-12 seasons! I saw Williams,
and Young, and Testeverde. I even wore the bright orange pj's as a kid. I doubt anyone here knows
that loyality! The important part is that I was here BEFORE the 2002 season telling everyone that the
Bucs were going to win it all......they lost the first game and were 0-1, I was still here and everyone
wrote me off, I was here every week, when Philly beat us, and then when Pittsburg beat us in that
bad monday night game where Shaun King's first pass was ran back for a score, the score after the first
quarter was 21-0. I knew we were better than that and I was met head on about it. Even noclass was
there, of course he had no team, just anyone who was playing the Bucs.

I have been here ever since!

To doubt my allegiance to a team is not smart, I assure you that I am diehard. Too bad I can't say that
for some of the people on here.

Only the mods can get rid of me here, and even if that happens you know I will still be a bucs fan!

Thanks for the post noclass, you and the fish can now assume the position!

How can you say you joined after the 01 season? Your joined date says Apr01 - they played football in the fall of 01 correct?

As for not having a team - when have I ever not been a Miami fan? I'm still here now, even when they suck.. Even though I live in Atlanta I still love the Dolphins, Marlins and Canes.

In fact, I'm going to see Miami vs. GT saturday in the rain - thanks to Alan Cowart for getting me those killer tix.

Say what you want - you always do, even if it's not true it's never stopped you before.

BTW, when do you think the Noles will win a game vs Miami? I saw something on ESPN a few weeks ago that said that since 1983 Miami has won the Noles/Canes games 14 out of 20, including streaks of 5 & 6 straight - now that's dominating a team.

How many NCAA championships has the Noles won? 2 - Miami has 5 for football and 5 for Baseball

There have been times when we were just overmatched but we could of won any of those games! You guys
get lucky, what can I say. I remember the Santana Moss game most vividly, there is no way we should of
lost that one. Our defense handled you most of the game this last time but Rix couldn't do anything and
you only needed one score to win.

I was at Doak in 93 against you all, best game I have ever seen, almost fell through the bleachers twice.
Im sure you remember that year...Noles won it all, we have rings and you have rings, streaks are great but
if you can't cash in on them then what is the use? No one remembers who got 2nd place!

Im hoping the Georgia Tech game will be a good one, Im not sure how good they are this year.

I just got my student tickets earlier today. It should be a good one. I'd wish your team good luck, but I don't think they need any more advantages. image

  • No one remembers who got 2nd place!

Man I guess you don't remember a lot of the Noles seasons - the kings of 2nd place (in the nation and the state)

All kidding aside - the best game I ever saw was the '84 Orange Bowl - Nebraska vs. Miami. Miami won that game 31-30 against a 17 pt favorite Nebraska team. It was my first full year at UM and no one sat during the entire game. The only other game I've been to that matched the electricity level was the monday night game in 85 when the Bears came in undefeated to the Orange Bowl and left with the only loss that season. Talk about falling through the bleachers, I was sure the whole bleacher section was coming down!

I'm not sure if it was the beer or the cheap wine back then but man those were some wild times!

ahhh, I remember that Dolphin game! Great game, Bears left in a bodybag. That record is safe for a long
    time.

The Noles should not have been champs in 93. ND beat em, then lost the next week to BC

ND should have been playing for the championship
collecting various PSA and SGC cards

Team loyalty doesn't mean you always have to scream it loudly... If he never said anything for half a year, it doesn't mean anything. I don't scream about the Lions, but have been a die-hard (and lose harder) fan for 20+ years. I enjoy football and they are my local team. I'm also a Wings, Pistons and U-M fan. I hate baseball mostly but still cheer for the Tigers if anybody. I'm a huge fan of my local teams and always have been. I've never cheered for anybody else, although can admit I always hope that whoever plays Michigan State, the Colorado Avalanche or the Minnesota Vikings will win image

I don't scream about the Lions because years of pain have humbled me image But put me in that Stadium and I'll be the loudest SOB there... guaranteed. I've got 25 years worth of shirts, pants, hats, etc that prove my loyalty. I support them through everything, but can certainly curse their mistakes with the best of them as well. They're finally going in the right direction IMO. Better drafts and somebody other than a high school coach are steps in the right direction. The new stadium is awesome and presents a superb stage for the '06 Super Bowl.

JS is funny IMO. He hasn't swayed yet from our betting pool, taking the Bucs in all 3 games to this point as he promised. Of course I am also happy about that as I'm always going to pick against them so that will give me a guaranteed 16 points over him during the course of the year in the pool image

Too funny! He is the Penultimate Bandwagon Jumping Fair Weather Fan. LOL And he calls me one even though I have been rooting for the NY Giants since the late 1960's. image I guess I should have been posting incessantly about the Giants as I do with the Yankees.

Oops, here is one of my posts from December 23, 2002. I guess I just proved joestalin wrong and he doesn't know how to use the Search function:

Two weeks in a row over 30 points!!! And against Petyon Manning and the Indianapolis Colts yet. What the heck is happening to them?>>

  • Wasn't there once a poster here who had the URL blue link, "PROVING JOE STALIN WRONG, ONE POST AT A TIME"...I can't find that now, but obviously everyone else here gets the point.....its just this time, hyperbole and exaggeration have finally met their match with TRUTH and ACCURACY.

LOL I thought you were done with me doppel? What you can't have enough? First you open your big mouth
and start calling me a commie, and then when I show up to debate you run under the bed only to jump
back out when you think the coast is clear?

I have made posts the last three years giving people chances to tell us who their team was...funny that
none of the posters above have been on those threads! I don't need to tell you what that means!

Dirtmonkey....Im sorry you are bitter because your teams sucks, I know the last time you made the playoffs
was a long time ago......wasn't it the bucs that took you behind the woodshed in that game? LOL...its
also fitting that the biggest crybaby/quitter, is also a Lion.

Hey if you all don't have the balls to show before the season to back your team then you will be labeled
a bandwagon jumper. Thats just how it is!

Is that how it is in your misguided mind JS..."The World According To Joe"....

I'll leave that part to you and your therapist; as to any other relevance anyone can take from your cranky assertions, labelings, setting up rules of fandom which you control......its just YOUR pathetic system which is not controlling on anyone elses opinions...GET IT???

Like last week and your bold round of stupid predictions, none of which were accurate...it forced you to change your sig line for at least a short time, though I haven't heard if Xbaggypants has ever received his $5 Paypal.

So, big man, put your $$$ on the line with me...McNad is such a "choke artist"...take some action from me...follow the official betting line from Vegas and take Da Bears.

I'll be awaiting your response....and what we're playing for...in sig line change and Paypal $$$.image

LOL - JS, I was actually kinda stickin' up for ya bud, but guess you skimmed by that image Your team does still suck, but it's your team to root for as I do for my Lions. I don't tend to live in the past though big fella, as the Lions were once a superior team in the NFL but most of it was before my time. Your team had an excellent season 2 years ago, but they do suck this year. Quit living in the past, my friend. I was actually noting your honesty when you also said you would take the Bucs in every week of our pool. So far you have and I commend you on not swaying from that statement. I'm simply noting that if you continue to do so, I will likely benefit from these points throughout the season. Finally, Detroit may have a whiner (although I must admit I am unaware of who you are speaking of), but every team does. But Detroit also has more talent and a brighter future, so it sounds like a good swap to me.
