What ONE coin would you buy for 10-15k.....

That right now is not overpriced, has a very low mintage/grade that you feel will continue to go up in value. Exclude toned coins.....

Since you excluded toned coins, I would buy this 1841-O $10 NGC AU-50 at Pinnacle for $10,750. It's rare (fewer than 50 extant), historic (forst New Orleans eagle), and undervalued!

  • Although I'd love to own a 1928@6.... it hasn't moved in price at all.... the 65 hasn't either..... I'm looking for something that has gone up slowly over the last few years and NOT in a NGC holder.... High priced coins and NGC holders don't mix............
  • CC Seated dollars..........

    Mid-High mid grade Chain cents.........

    Mid-High grade Flowing hair anything...........

    Unc 16 Standing Quarter..........

    Circ 95 proof Morgan
    Cam-Slam 2-6-04
    3 "DAMMIT BOYS"
    4 "YOU SUCKS"
Numerous POTD (But NONE officially recognized)
Seated Halves are my specialty !
Seated Half set by date/mm COMPLETE !
    Seated Half set by WB# - 289 down / 31 to go !!!!!

A MacCrimmon-approved MS68 Victoria young head sovereign; pre-1851........dripping with voluminous vats of frosty lustre, and no marks visible to yer wee nekkid-10x loupe assited eye.....oh yeah, it must be a finger-slicing sharp strike, too.

Otherwise, with just a wee bit o' tone for character; a PF68DCAM Gothic Crown with cake-white devices and Titanic-deep pools......... image

A Peace dollar? Heaven forbid....... image

Peaceman........actually it has moved up slowly the last few years........here is greysheet bid/ask since 10/2001

    10/2001 5600/6400
    06/2002 8000/8800
    08/2003 9000/10000
    09/2004 10500/11500

So I think this coin 3 years ago would have been a pretty good investment............you agree ??image and I also would have to add that I would
buy any of the six 66's available at "ask" without a doubt.

  • aaaa greysheet.... The price in my opinion for the past 3 years for a 66 has been roughly the same.... They've always been in the 9-11k range (when they are for sale) You could have bought the last one from Mr Hall for 16k I believe.. Way over priced.... I think there is one maybe 2 NOT in registry sets...... image

I'll agree it's been rooughly the same the last two years but when I bought mine 4 years ago it wasn't close to
the 9-11k..........it was when I sold it !!image but I'll have to admit I wish I still had it !!

I would like to find a nice original eye appealing 1839-D quarter eagle in AU58 to complete my Dahlanega type. Still looking for the last three years.

A heraldic eagle $10, probably a 1799, in as high a grade as I could find for the money.
