I bought a 1895-0 Morgan off E-bay about a year ago for $300.00.
I just recently had it slabbed by NGC and it came back AU/50.
At the time of grading PCGS had it's value a $1300.00. I checked the PCGS price just the other day and now it is priced $1750.00 in AU/50.
The grade is at $12,000.00.What is the likelyhood of this coin continuing it's spiral upward.Should I just sit on it for 4-5 years. My grand-son is going to need a new car and college. How high could this coin go?The 1893 CC has done the same thing in a very short period of time.I keep an eye on the PCGS price list and these 2 date and mints have just been Skyrocketing letely. Thanks Tom

My Collection of Old Holders
Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
There is a common theme here. My personal philosophy is to collect fundamentally rare coins for enjoyment. Sure, I hope down the road they are worth more than what I pay for them, but I do not EXPECT to make a profit. Parabolic upward trends rarely continue over the long term.
If you have a specirfic finacial goal in mind, buying zero coupon bond is one fairly safe way to achieve it.
Good luck,
Robert
