Oh no! I'm starting to like toned Ikes!

I really like Ikes with the Dansco toning of blues, reds and sometimes greens. While the Ike monsters that are sometimes seen around here are much more impressive, these are more affordable and IMHO more attractive that just a plain ole'silver bald guy.

Again another Northeast Numismatic coin, they really do have some nicer toners for reasonable prices.

Toned IKEs are cool but it's hard getting past the dings and scratches that most of them have. They seem to all be so beat up, even in the mint packaging.

When they tone, the damage seems to be highlighted and becomes a very focal part of the "look".

That's beautiful toning on a pretty tough gem. Clads can tone attractively but relatively few do.

The Denver type 1 is much easier than the Philly in gem.

I thought it was but PCGS gave it a 64.
I was kinda pi$$ed..paid a dollar for that coin.
