Half Dime (NEWPS)

I got tired of waiting for threads about coins, so I created one of my own. What do you think? The color's not right (using a scanner) but it's the best I can do for now.

  • Ken, I like your 72 half dime. That's the way 100+ year old silver should look; having a skin/patina. BTW, thanks for the coin related thread!

  • Nice coin and I agree with JRC thats the way you would excpect a 100 + year old coin to look image

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

Thanks everyone. I too like the original look. image

The coin is actually a lot lighter than the scan indicates. Plus, the patina is more of a golden orange color. Lastly, the scan doesn't capture the luster that remains.

I agree, but this fills the hole in the Dansco Type set.
