Wait a minute - that was a live pitcher out there yesterday? I thought the Yankees just rolled out a batting practice pitch machine to lob those balls over the plate...

Not exactly the pitching staff you would imagine for $200M, eh?

    At Yankee Stadium:

    09/17/04 Yankees 14, Bosux 4
    09/18/04 Yankees 11, Bosux 1

Your pitching was comatose. At least Brown has an excuse: stupidity

It is not unusual for Brown to have gotten rocked around like he did. He was out a month and lost his rhythum some, that's all. He could very likely come back the next start and pitch strong. I am not worried about him. He will be there for the Yankees.

I rate him like David Cone and Dwight Gooden--excellent pitchers just below HOF level. All three were very similar type pitchers and had similar career numbers. Brown might just surpass Cone and be a legitimate HOF candidate, that's if he stops punching walls....a guy doing so well and then wham!! What a pity for him and the Yankees. I wished he could have gotten over 15 wins this season. I wish him the best in the post-season. That would be redemption if he can duplicate what he did with the Marlins World Series run way back when.

Let's see Brown in relief. That would be good since he didn't get much playing time the last time out.
