For now,heres the story.

The ex-wife has the coin,i bought it in 1990 or 91,MS64,paid like a grand for it,sold all my coins at San Diego
at the same time.

I always thought it would go MS65,it is in a Hallmark holder.
She has agreed to let me submit the coin and i have agreed to return it to her,it is 50 years older than the child we have.

Should i crack it or x it ?

what's x it mean? You could send it in the slab. I don't think there'd be any bias towards such an antique slab, as opposed to what some people think about the current lesser thought of grading companies.

A 41 S Walker in 64 does not qualify as a golf ball marker unless you are Bill Gates !
