Here comes the bidding war!

I guess they figure that if you take a 25 cent coin, spend $16 or so for the PCGS economy grading, add a few bucks for shipping back from PCGS and seek a small profit, then $30 must be a fair price.

1946 Lincoln, PCGS AU-58, only $34.49 with shipping!

    Since my price guide says $2 for a MS65, I'd say somebody didn't do their homework. Now they are stuck with a 3c coin and hope to get their grading fees back from some uninformed newbie. Gosh I hope nobody bids on that coin. If they even do a simple search, they would see how overpriced it is.image

    I wonder what went through the grader's mind when that one came across his desk.

    New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

  • The graders don't care. They get paid to grade whatever passes through their hands no matter how common it may be.
