David - I have several pre-1930 MS64 or 65 Lincoln wheats with scratches on the edge of the coin. They're not rim dings (you can't see them while viewing the obverse or reverse) but you can see them when looking at the edge under 10X or so. I don't think they're collar marks either since they run parallel to the obverse/reverse of the coin, rather than perpendicular.
Is this flaw/damage something that will get a BB or a lower grade or would these scratches be ignored?
Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike,
Like all aspects of grading, edge scratches are a matter of degree. They would have to be pretty bad to lower a grade...and they would have to be really, really bad to get a body bag.
Thanks,
David
