Acetone help??? The dreaded green is not coming off???

A barber half of mine is skanked up with unknown green on it. I have been soaking in acetone for 15 hours and its barely made a difference? I thought it was pretty quick????

Your thoughts? Your suggestions. I do have some goo gone somewhere, but wanted to go acetone first......its a $2 coin, so no big deal, just trying to learn a little here.

Brillo pad and a lot of arm muscle should do the trick. Actually I think you might be stuck althought a little bit of jewelluster on a cute tip might clean it but might also leave a spot.

Looks like corrosion and not PVC. Acetone won't affect that.

I agree that it does not look like PVC damage. It might be verdigris that attacked the copper in the alloy.

just cuz its green don't mean its PVC and acetone will remove it. PVC damage is a light or pale green color.
