Spink and North are the two "must own" books on English hammered.

Didn't Benny Hill put out a book? He was a well known hammered Englishman.image

Thanks. I have those. Also Jeffery Mass shortcross reference which is an excellent book. I just ordered a book by Challis, Tudor coinage which I have high expectations for, I hope I'm not disappointed.
  • I don't like Spink with regards to the hammered coinage.

The Coincraft catalogue is a must have for Edward I pennies, nearly all of them are pictured.

Anyone else find the North catalogue hard to use? (Yeah it's all in there, it's a good reference but it requires you to know about the area first!)
