I didn't post this on the giveaway forum 'cause the giveaway part only applies to those who seriously wanna start collecting holed coins- a semi-unserious endeavour, to be sure. (Note that I used the spelling of "endeavor" that you Brits would approve of- Darksiders are certainly welcome!) And Darksiders have the opportunity to collect holed coins that were actually made that way by the mint- such a club already exists out there in cyberspace. But I am mostly referring to coins that somebody drilled a hole in- those "damaged" pieces that "real" collectors won't touch. (They're all too busy with their micro- grade splits, worrying about artificial toning or cleaning or whether their coins are in the right sort of plastic coffin.) Holey coin collectors are a much more easygoing and carefree lot.
Don't laugh too hard. There are more of us than you might think.
Most just haven't come out of the closet yet.
