New registry idea

In honor of the all time great collectors, I propose a huge, all inclusive registry of every U.S. coin ever minted so we can see if anyone out there is even close to completing such an endevour, or if it even seems possible after reviewing some of the participants entries. Of course the great Eliasberg would be the standard to beat and would likely occupy the top spot for many decades, if not in perpetuity. I know collectors did things differently back then, mixing Proofs with coins struck for circulation, but I propose that you include BOTH proofs and circulation strikes instead of mixing them the way collectors did back then because someone out there might actually come up with a set with more points than Eliasberg by having coins that he didn't.

Yes...We absolutely should do some variation of this...and we will eventually.
